Coastal City Aviation is a flight training and aircraft rental club whose primary mission is developing safe and proficient pilots in the highest quality rental fleet found in Charleston, South Carolina and The Lowcountry Area. We offer Private Pilot Certificates, Instrument Ratings, Commercial Pilot Certificates, Certified Flight Instructor Certificates, Instrument Instructor Certificates, recurrent training, and more! Coastal City Aviation currently offers high quality Cirrus Aircraft, and Piper Aircraft. The Coastal City Aviation fleet is equipped with modern avionics, including the Cirrus Perspective Avionics System. These systems allow for advanced IFR operation including WAAS GPS Units and ADS-B technology which provides capability and superior situational awareness in flight.

Membership at Coastal City Aviation
Membership requires a one-time fee of $150. This fee covers the administrative cost of signing up new members and induction into our fleet insurance. There is also a monthly fee of $45 for recurring costs such office staff, operations cost and more. All scheduling and maintenance records are contained in our online MyFBO system. One is able to schedule available aircraft and flight instructors, as well as see maintenance information for the aircraft selected. Members are required to obtain coverage for non-owner’s rental insurance which will cover a $1000 deductible. This insurance is only required when you fly solo, or as Pilot in Command. This coverage should only run you between $60-$350 for the year depending on the coverage selected.
To become a member, print out the member application and pilot history form found in the link below. Compile all of the applicable documents listed at the bottom of the pilot history form and fill out the member application and pilot history forms. Then, contact us at (843) 566-1011. We will set up a meeting with one of our instructors or staff who will get you signed up, and flying! We are always available to give tours of our facilities and aircraft by appointment. In addition, our policy and procedures manual is available below for you to review.
